The free, ad-supported service is available on a broad range of Nokia S60 and S^3 touch-based smartphones as well as Nokia Series 40 phones in 10 languages. Building the app in Java, and making it work for more than 50 different Nokia devices was “a little bit challenging for us,” notes Calabrese, but he adds that “it was worth the time and effort because now we have an amazing reach.” Soundtracker has been available for Windows Phone since the debut of the platform in the fall of 2010. Calabrese called the announcement of the Nokia-Microsoft partnership an “eye opener” for him. “I was amazed by the fact that the two companies would work together, and I really wanted to be there from day one,” he said.
