Jabulani – meaning ‘to Celebrate’ in the isiZulu language – is the name of the new ball for the FIFA World Cup 2010™. Made, as ever, by Adidas – the world’s leading Football equipment manufacturer, the Jabulani ball builds on their years of scientific excellence. With their history of official FIFA World Cup balls (from Telstar to Teamgeist™) the balls have improved year on year, though not without attracting some controversy along the way. Regular balls are made with 32 hexagonal panels. The Teamgeist for World Cup in Germany 2006 had only 14 panels. The Jabilani ball has an amazing 8 panels. Goalies will be happy with the ‘grip n groove’ texturing, which is also to aid smooth flight (think golfballs). It is a heavy ball, and has bonded 3d panels – moulded spherically to retain shape and create a seamless spehere. The number 11 carries heavy symbolism – the tribes of South Africa, the players in a football team. In honour ofthis, there are 11 colours used on the ball.

Whether planning a trip to Venice, exercising on a treadmill or relaxing on the couch, this video is for you! One of my favorite Virtual dvd movies “A Morning In Venice” by VITA Digital Productions! I’m not affiliated with them in any way. I just have a collection of their ‘Virtual Walks Series’ dvd’s and thought that this would be a fun way of introducing you to their amazing virtual walks! I edited this one in mixed order so you can get an idea of what it’s all about. The background street sounds are from the dvd, the music I added; although their dvd’s do come with a choice of natural background sounds or just background music. All rights reserved to VITA Digital Productions for this 2005 dvd. www.vitadvds.com *Please visit their site and start your collection*!! This video is a 7 min mixed edit from their 38 minute original that includes bonus features! This VITA Digital Productions dvd is Produced by Kathi Jacobs. Photographed and Edited by Wayne Jacobs. Dvd original background Music by Gene Michael Productions. Enjoy! I hope to have another one done soon…either Isle Of Capri, Rome, Ravello, Amalfi, Burano….you get the idea!
