Far Cry 3 “Island Survival Guide”: Psychopaths, Drugs & Other Dangers

Far Cry 3: Island Survival Guide Introduces Psychopaths, Drugs, and Other Dangers excerpt: The second part of the Island Survival Guide for Far Cry 3 familiarizes us with some of the enemies we’ll be facing. Ubisoft has released the second part in their series of Far Cry 3 guides to acquaint us to the Rook Islands. While the first part went into great detail about the islands themselves, this second guide familiarizes us with psychopaths, drugs, and other dangers. Like the first video, ex-CIA operative Agent Huntley continues on his insider’s tour of the insanity of Far Cry 3’s setting. This video allows us to get a glimpse of the truth about the human trafficking and other depraved criminal activities going on the island, with some tips on how to avoid—or actually even use outposts to our advantage. Players will be able to engage in hunting, crafting, and a wide variety of mini-games and side missions to earn cash for weapons and to level up skills and abilities throughout Far Cry 3. Like its predecessors, Far Cry 3 is designed as an open world first person shooter, and will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on December 4 in the United States and on November 7 just about everywhere else. There’s been no word on why they chose to delay the game stateside by a month, but interested players should think about importing the title if you’d like to get it early

Celine Dion Blames Drugs For Whitney Houston’s Death

Of course, there are tons of speculations that Whitney Houston may have died from drugs, but Celine Dion has flat out said it. Many people feel Celine Dion spoke out of turn when she made this accusation on “Good Morning America.” During her call into the show, she says, “It’s just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people or bad influence took over. It took over [Whitney’s] dreams. It took over her love and motherhood.” She references Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, and Amy Winehouse during her presumptuous monologue. Adding, “That’s why I don’t do parties and I don’t hang out. That’s why I’m not part of show business. We have to be afraid…Taking pills to go perform and taking pills to wake up and taking pills to go to bed. It’s so unfortunate,” At a Pre-Grammy party the day of Whitney’s death, Tony Bennett also jumped the gun on the cause, by asking all the partygoers to petition lawmakers to legalize drugs, so people would have to get it from a doctor, not some quote” gangsters that just sell it under the table.”

In less than a decade, these irrepressible adventurers unloaded nearly a billion dollars worth of marijuana and hashish through the eastern seaboard’s marshes. Then came their undoing: Operation Jackpot, one of the largest drug investigations ever launched and an opening volley in Ronald Reagan’s War on Drugs. In Jackpot, author Jason Ryan takes us back to the heady days before drug smuggling was synonymous with deadly gunplay.
