Ah, adulthood! The author and Dick, her husband find themselves in a section of the courntry that the author never imagined as a place she would ever be: West Allis, Wisconsin. The town was close enough to Dick’s parents, but a long way from her Rocky Mountains and beloved horse. Yet, this was such an adventure; a home of their own; a place for their large family, a garden and even a few sheep and geese. To replace her horses, she turned in earnest to raising and showing Siamese cats and Shetland Sheepdogs. In addition to five children and plenty of animals, an opportunity arose to start a veterianry practice. She topped all of this off with a career as a bellydancer and artist.Ah, adulthood!
