Believe, Boyle, Christmas, Father, Susan
I like Greg Lake’s original, of course. But this isn’t so bad
bloody lot,it was like deja vu all over again.god bless that lass Susan
Boyle,come what may!!
both versions are great songs, i like them both
Actually if you hear Greg Lake talking about this song it is about the
commercialism of Christmas and the fact that the money men have stolen it
and the true meaning of Christmas has been lost, as Greg says When we were
kids Christmas was all about peace and goodwill to all men when petty
disagreements were forgotten, even if just for one day, now it is all about
who gets the biggest and best. Oh and Yeah, beautifully sung as this
version is, it is naff.
I am sorry, but this is a terrible version of this song. I have heard
different versions from various artists, including the original singer Greg
Lake, and this is by far the worst version. I also find it amusing that
Susan has decided to place this on a Christmas album when clearly, if one
listens to the lyrics, that it is not a Christmas song at all, but a
protest against the commercialism of the holiday and no one believes in the
