Well, I feel stupid I didn’t even realize that she had cancer….ok, explains why she grabbed her hair and then at the end, I….well sometimes I show my age lol. I want to gloss the signs you used in this song to put on my fb, both for those I know of course think ASL is beautiful, but also for my students so they can see how ASL is NOT English on the hands and that it’s also not about the “word” but the meaning behind that word. I didn’t know that and cried anyway. Great Job Sean!
As an ASL teacher/Interpreter It’s wonderful to read things like this from the youth. I think that’s one of the biggest reasons they started this show was to draw awareness to Deaf/hard of hearing or hh culture, community and language. I know that one large hope is that the D/deaf, hh and hearing can come together and be accepted for who they are. And they are all an inspiration and Sean Berdy is a hottie also. Such a shame they didn’t like like him when I was a teenager/young adult.
