Whether adorned completely in meat at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards or lathering herself up in cake in the controversial teaser footage for her 2012 “Cake” music video, Mother Monster has never failed us in bringing a little storm to the pop music scene. Here’s a recap of the biggest and best Lady Gaga news of the year. This Spring, Lady Gaga, who we have all come to know as the artist that aims to shock and never hesitates to publically speak her mind, chose to completely shut out the media once and for all, following her interview with Oprah in March. She told Winfrey in her interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” that she “[doesn't] want to know about anything going on in relation to music…no press, no television…[she does] not intend to talk to anyone for a very long time”. While we severly missed Gaga’s publicity, her multi-million dollar concert tour gave us just what we needed. The media, however, never takes a break and was quick to criticize her sudden weight gain this year, and Gaga fought back by launching a groundbreaking campaign that she called “Body Revolution” in order to spread awareness about body image issues. Actually, NO. The Fame Monster is only an extended play. Although Gaga treated it as a full album, technically the Fame Monster is not. It was actually planned as a re-release for the Fame but they thought it was expensive that’s why they just included the Fame as a limited edition copy.
