Never was a Kelly Clarkson fan. Didn’t think she was all that. But I like this. She sounds different here. Not like most of her whiny stuff. If she does stuff like this, I may like it.
Why talent and popularity are so polar nowadays?
Not a big fan of American Idol because of the contrived drama. But when they’ve brought us talent like Kelly and Carrie, it’s hard to deny they serve a purpose. Of course, these very talented ladies would have risen to the top without their exposure on AI. But maybe not as quickly.
This reminds me of a Crystal Gayle type of song. Love it!

1.Ur station doesn’t represent the entire music station. It’s a country music station, which meets Taylor’s genre. She’s popular, so people request a lot of her songs.
2.Those requests don’t reflect Taylor’s talent, but popularity.Mariah Carey is amazingly talented as a singer-songwriter, but no longer gets many requests at stations,coz her popularity’s declined. Taylor is vocally less talented than Kelly, and her ability of writing songs isn’t quite recognized.

Kelly is SO amazing, she will defiantly be a vocal and performance legend! Her live performance of this song sounds just like the studio version. That doesn’t happen often with singer these days!
