Dave Austin in northampton this a GREAT FILM, PEACHE , DANNEY ANDNOT FORGETTING BILLY FISH Dave
This is fantastic! But can’t forget Malone’s “If they come at you…”
‘The Man Who Would Be King’ may well be Connery’s best film, but if you really want to see Sean Connery playing against type, look for ‘The Offense.’ That, I think, is his best performance. Anxious to shed his ’007′ image, he did this film in ’72, with Sidney Lumet, playing a broken-down policeman corrupted by all the horror he’s seen, finally driven over the edge trying to catch a child-molester. Trying to make one thing right, he destroys everything else around him. Excellent film, see it.
“Is his skateboard ready?” hahaha, absolute legend.
Billy Fish “The gurka”
Billy Fish!!!!!
Sikandar ..and Sikandar Gul..lost in the sands of time, waiting for the son of Sikander ..a masterpiece of storytelling..compelling, gripping tale..what man suffers when greed clouds his senses..He would be King..but would not live to tell the tale..
Touches your cold sense of greed and lust..everyman has it..only if the circumstances were right, would he know..
They don’t make movies like this one anymore, unfortunately. It’s before my time, but a classic.
“The Man Who Would be King” is to be sure his best film. About 1975, with Michael Cain. An absolute “must see”.
so billy fish didnt get killed by the mobs of kafiristanis after all.
何故か親しみを感じる!いつまでも元気でいてほしい!!貴方は、私の一時代を楽しませてくれた素晴らしい方だ!
He loves his wife so much, how sweet
ahhhh dude!! Billy Fish!! i love that guy. he was loyal till the very end in the movie haha
illuminat illuminati illuminati, this is sick how this movie is whats going on now…this is sick and twisted
Fanstic! How I love this film.
Some people age better than others. Added to which, he’s been doing physical shit most of his life. Christopher Plummer, on the other hand, has done mostly dramas his whole life and probably hasn’t worn his body out as thoroughly.
But I can understand why he’s never dipped out of retirement. he probably has health concerns he can’t hide at this point.
hes looking very old now..great actor..
No mention of my favourite actor Christopher Plummer who was Kipling he was really good in this, he could go on the list for sexy seniors he is 82 in december and still going strong.
He’s brilliant
… he was ill at this time due to heart problems and lost quite a bit of weight.
Connery looks really ill!
Wish I’d got to be part of this. I actually walked past the festival theartre when all this was going on. It’s a shame Sean Connery won’t be back for the EIFF but he’s done alot for Edinburgh and Scotland and deserives to enjoy his retirement.
Junior!
Sean Connery and Carey Grant. The sexiest senior citizens who ever lived.
I was shopping one evening in The Spar on Ecclesall Road in
Sheffield and met Mr Billy Fish as he too was buying some groceries back in about 1999. I mentioned how I enjoyed his performance in The Man who would be King. Tis but a small world.
