1 Dislike?
If you undo your dislike now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

This is by far the best performance I have ever listened
What an amazing song…Mark Knofler, for me is the greatest guitarist !!!
Utterly, bewitchingly, brilliant. Wish I had a Tardis :-/
Comunque, gente, proprio non ce n’era per nessuno.Mark: you and me, together, baby!!!!!!
He got the Schecter after this.

Once again that´s not a fender or a Schecter that´s a Suhr wich is as “custom made” strat just for MK,
La mejor banda de todos los tiempos
good stuff
Yes, I think we’ve established the point that Mark used Schecters extensively during the 80′s. My point was to explain why the guitar might be mistaken for a Fender, and to explain why old Schecters have Fender style headstocks.
yeah but this is over twenty years ago so back then they could still have the same headstocks and this guitar that mark uses is a schecter
Mark played a Fender Strat early on, but as he put it, he didn’t want to drag his pre-CBS Fenders around the globe, getting them dinged up (or lost in transit or stolen), so he switched to Schecter in the early 80′s. I think he used the Schecters as his main axes during the Making Movies/Love Over Gold/Alchemy era, but by the time of Brothers In Arms, he started playing a custom built Pensa/Suhr guitar (probably because the Dallas era Schecters weren’t as the earlier California era guitars).
Old Schecters did. That’s because during the 70′s and 80′s, they had a legal agreement with Fender that allowed them to use the Fender headstock shapes. But when Schecter got bought in the late 80′s (after the Dallas era very nearly killed the brand), apparently that agreement didn’t carry over, as Schecter hasn’t used Fender style headstocks in at least 20 years.
Genius!
unfkn-believ-motherfuk-able!
A little bit of internet research (on mark-knopfler.info) has confirmed to me that this guitar is a schecter not a fender strat.
schecter strat headstocks look the same as fender ones
Yeah without fingers
