This was from the Grammys 1990 hosted by Garry Shandling. This is one of my all time favorite Grammy performances.
Awesome—I am gonna have to see if what this came from and if there is an accompanying CD release for it—-man–to have Tito Puente, Arturo Sandoval, Gloria Estefan, Shelia E and the rest of those great musicians playing that great music was quite an event if staged for a TV show since that is what it looked like—-even if you are not of latin descent, cannot understand a word of Espanol—if that music doesn’t stir something in you—you are not alive—WONDERFUL music!!!
What a great collaboration of talent!!! Gloria, Tito, Arturo and Sheila!!! Tito was Sheila’s fathers God Father. Tito Puente passed in 2000 and the album this song is from was released in 1997. So I would say this performance was recorded in 1997 or 1998

Wow, what an exceptional performance. How often do you see that much talent performing together. They were really cooking that night. I especially like Nestor Torres too-brief flute solo. And what a percussion section-
