Needs A Thorough Review and Editing,
Rather than just merely adding on more successive chart data, future editions of this wonderful book, guide, time consumer, McAleer should really do a thorough revision. Titles are misspelt, entries need revision, etc. Despite the faults, however, the book really is priceless to the pop/rock music fan. It just needs a thorough revision.

|The most practical reference for world chart fans,
A 507-page reference that covers TOP 20 charts from both sides of the Atlantic from 1954 to 2003. Each pair of pages has one page showing three UK charts from three different months and another page showing the same from the US side. Each page also has a column of two to three issues happening in the music industry within the time. For easy search, listings of entries both by artists and by titles can be found at the end of the books.
This book somehow concise, is very practical for quick reference and getting the feel of how music has evolved from time to time, from coast to coast.

|Quality feed-back,
Otherwise excellent book ruined with a sticky label stuck on the back cover. On removing the label the black (!) glue turned out to be so strong that much of it remained on the book . This is a drawback in three ways: 1. Visual defect with a dirty black blotch on the book. 2. Damage to the back cover surface from the removal process. 3. The book keeps sticking to other objects, e.g. if placed in a pile with other books.
If possible I would like a new book WITHOUT the label. I will be happy to return the original book, with the glue remnants, in case Amazon pays my postal charges.
My other purchase, Billboard’s Hottest Hot 100 Hits, arrived in prime condition, with no labels attached.
