Very true! Never saw that. I think it’s amazing the way actors practically “become” the characters they are playing in movies. To truly act so successfully it’s like they become the person for the time being

Nice speech. Just like his performance in “Gladiator,” he received the award with a quiet composure and humility, but without seeming overbearingly affected (even if he was feeling that way inside). It’s great that he didn’t have to read from a long, tedious pre-written speech as so many others do. Crowe definitely deserved the Oscar. “Gladiator” is an amazing film. I re-watched the movie (again!) recently and it always feels as fresh and exciting as it did the first time I viewed it.
Preach it. Russell Crowe was amazing in Gladiator and totally deserved the accolades he got for his role.

Look I just felt like he was sleepwalking, I might be wrong but I heard from some source that he dident even want the award. I just dident feel like he was getting into character. I thought he was a lot better in The Insider and L.A Confidential, better movies to.

He played a Roman General and a Gladiator. Showing slim to no emotion was the whole point of acting the character.
