Same here! Hmm… maybe they talked on the phone and they planned to either poison him or run him over while on girl distracted him cause that’s different from meeting each other face to face? Because in the music video teaser he’s with one girl then a car pulled up that was a black cadillac or maybe as one person said a hitman?
My gosh, will carrie underwood ever write a bad song? I think not. on one end, she wrote wine after whiskey then she writes something like two black Cadillacs. She is just so diverse in her writing/singing. She has so much substance, unlike another country singer who shall remain nameless that gets far too many awards and to much notice for writing nothing but break up songs!lol
well in the song it describes how the wife found the mistress’ number and rang her and they decided he wouldn’t get away with it, so I think that they hatched a plan and killed him together but never ACTUALLY met until the funeral? if that makes sense
@jKReaper it all depends on how the song is portrayed. Carrie’s song is done if you will in a tasteful way. By that I mean, had she not given this explanation you wouldn’t know what it was about. It took me like 5 times to actually listen to the lyrics and realize what she meant. Like she doesn’t come right and say “we murdered him” it’s like a hidden message.
She means the wife and the mistress, the met each other
Carrie, if they killed him how did they meet each other at the funeral?
I finally know what this song is about! Thank you sooooooooo much for posting this!
“Well they kill him” **chuckles** she says it soo dry………LOLL
Humph. Bastard deserved it.
I thought that it was two wives for the same man as the lyrics have them both acting as wifes as the funeral with the rose and with the dirt.
This is like Good bye Earl (female artist) meets the thunder rolls uncut (dark and sinister) absolutely love it!!!!
Wow this just sounds like 2 psychopaths lol crazy woman….
love that song! =D
