Wedlocked: A Novel
Wedlocked: A Novel
On what should be the happiest day of her life, Rebecca Ross is panic stricken. Rebecca has just wed Craig Jacobs, but she realizes she put more thought into choosing her florist than she did in choosing the man she’s just pledged to love for the rest of her life.
Before Craig, Rebecca, a talented Long Island girl, dreamed of following in her grandmother’s footsteps with an acting career. Unfortunately, she was cut down to size by years of disappointment, and by her first love-a Hollywood director. She returned to Long Island a lost and broken woman, and ended up in the last place she ever wanted: her old bedroom at her parents’ house.
But Rebecca’s mother, an overzealous convert to Judaism, has a long held dream too

Such Fun Reading!,
There aren’t many books that can hold my attention these days, But Wedlocked absolutely did! This is such an entertaining book – perfect summmer reading – that I’m recommending it to everyone I know. It’s the story of an aspiring actress who lets all her disappointment in life and love impel her into marrying the absolute wrong man! The story takes you from NY to LA to Italy and you really feel like you are in all of these places! The main character, Rebecca, is so real you’ll feel like you know her. You will also experience her angst and root for her throughout (Don’t worry, there’s a very happy ending!)All the characters are so vivid and the story is so well told that you totally get lost in it and don’t even realize how fast you are flipping through the pages. I love the way this author writes – so clever and funny. When I finished it I was actually a little depressed because it was over! I read that this is the author’s debut novel and I hope she’s got another one on the way!

|Awesome book!,
This book was so much fun! I was totally absorbed into Rebecca and had trouble putting the book down. The plot twists are so entertaining and the ending wasn’t what I had expected it to be, but it was wonderful! Great read!

|A must-read!,
Kudos to debut author Bonnie Trachtenberg! I so enjoyed flipping through the pages of this fabulous read as “Long Island good girl” Rebecca defies her parents’ wishes and painstakingly pursues her acting career in California, puts up with her share of roommate nightmares, broken heart, followed by a marriage from hell–ultimately fleeing her husband and falling for the sweetest taboo during her honeymoon in Italy.
A little bit of “New York, New York,” “California Dreamin’” and “That’s Amore,” WEDLOCKED will tug at her heartstrings, tinkle your funny bone and delight your senses! Can’t wait for the next book by this talented author!
