I don’t think people understand how hard it is to do anything when your’e an addict, much less put out an album. He made a masterpiece while he was going through his dark days. I wasn’t much of an Eminem fan until I heard Relapse.
the first time i heard relapse i didn’t like it, then i kept listening to the album and i actually love it, i feel if it wasn’t for eminem’s lyrical ability it would blow, but it’s in my top 3 eminem albums, the lyricism in relapse is crazy from 3am to insane and stay wide awake, also the flows too!!

You can’t compare those albums. Even though Relapse was first it has a touch of Recovery. Deja vu, Beautiful, while other songs have a touch of Shady My mom, 3 AM, We Made you….

Drugs lie to you. They reward you for believing their lies. They lift you above the clouds and show you amazing things. After years of use, you begin to realize you life has steadily got worse, you are broke, and the drugs don’t do what they used to. But by that time, its too late. You gotta use just to feel normal. Ain’t no joke man. You can use responsibly for years, but drugs will kick you when you are down. Addiction seizes you when u least want it. I’m 3 weeks clean. 5 years of use.
