I understand where both sides are coming from and christina is a very powerful singer however; with this being said, if you listen to some of the classic renditions done by Christina I think you would find an older musical style more appropriate for this song. It is amazing and if this was a SOLO she would be out of this world, as always.

Indeed she lacks not only musicianship but also solid technique- she can’t co-ordinate her breath, constantly goes off-key and often strains and her notes below G3 are a foggy mess. Her lack of musicianship translates to her tasteless oversinging and annoying unmusical mannerisms such as that random ‘ha!’ she is such a fan of. She could never be up there with the greats.

Christina has a magnificent voice but I wish she’d save the riffing for a more appropriate song for that kind of ornamentation.

If what u say is true and she has insecurities of constantly trying to prove herself, would it be not safe to say that it’s no wonder she feels insecure about it with all the negetive comments she gets about singing. It seems to have turned into a sport (especially on YouTube) for people to critasize her even if she has sung the most amazing performance people attack her like no other artist would be attacked just because it’s Christina Aguilera.
