it amazes me how she hits notes with such ease. even when adele sings this live it takes her some effort.
u know what.. celine is respecting adele as the original singer, so for this time being, celine will do like the original version without doing ad-lib…n just u wait for the next next concert, she will do some ad lib for any notes after chorus, because she loves to do random notes here n there..=)

You have to hand it to Celine. She still clearly has her range, her belts are still bright, and she loves to show boat those high notes. But Adele’s clearer phrasing, soulful undertone and equally bright belts, makes her more suited for this song. They both have tremendous range, but Celine’s phrasing is not compared to the greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Aretha Franklin. Celine is a great singer, but I don’t think she could ever outdo Adele’s original.
I think doing the falsetto is usually a detour for singers to reach the high note when they can’t normally reach it with chest voice. Thank you for your opinion, anyway.
Celine Dion did sing this technically better than Adele. This isn’t the first time the original was trumped. Dolly Parton’s original I Will Always Love pales in comparison to Whitney Houston’s remake.
