Super Tucano Means New Jobs for Florida
The State of Florida is working to stimulate its economy and develop public-private partnerships that result in investment and job creation. One such example would be the assembly of the A-29 Super Tucano for the US Air Force’s light air support (LAS) mission in Afghanistan. Nevada-based Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and Embraer, which has its US headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, are jointly bidding on this contract. If they win, the A-29 Super Tucano will be built in Jacksonville, creating high quality engineering and technical jobs.
