Rock My World
Rock My World
“Rock My World,” is a Rock & Roll memoir spanning 1980 to 1986. It’s the unexpected personal journey of a concert merchandiser that started when the author was twenty three years old and how he found self-belief, dared to dream on a monumental scale and made it flourish into reality, rising to the top of his profession while enjoying bountiful moments of pure bliss.
The author’s story is intertwined with the groups he traveled with, some of the greatest touring rock bands of that era, The Police, U2, The Clash, Billy Idol, John Mellencamp, Aerosmith, REM and Motley Crue.

A great inside look in the rock concert business,
At first when I starting reading “Rock My World” I was a little unsure of what the message was. After just a few pages of this book, I was put on a journey through concert halls, back offices, and back stage. This book really holds you as you read it simply because you want to know what happens to the author as he travels the world with many of the rock bands I followed in High School and College.
It’s really a terrific read for anyone looking for a real life adventure and a journey to spiritual enlightenment. Mr. Howard pulls no punches with details of the bands, their music and the hard living
lifestyle on the road.
Buy this book as an enjoyable summer read, and if you want to know just what goes on back stage and on the road in the crazy world of Rock and Roll.

|not your usual rock n roll tale,
I myself Was involved with touring rock bands in the late70s till emid 80′s. A former colleague mentioned ROCK MY WORLD for read. I expected yet another Rock n Roll tale of sex, drugs and the absurd, where you already know what’s to come on the next page.
To my surprise and delight the author thrust me into not just the inner sanctums of the touring world but the world and life itself.
Starting as a young man in awe of the machine to the mature adult fulfilling his personal and business goals achieving this without tossing aside his morals, ethics and integrity, he has written a nonstop read that should be a must for all starting out on there chosen careers.
My only dissapointment was that the book finished too soon I just wanted to read more.
Can’t wait fot his next book. MR. Howard if you read this STOP! and get on with your next book.

|Rock and Roll saved his soul.,
I really enjoyed John Howard’s fan to insider look back at his years on the road touring with the major rock acts of the early and mid 80′s as their merchandise manager. He recalls the details vividly and relates how these experiences affected personal growth in his own life.
