This is an excellent book for teachers to use. A map is shown for each state; with information on capitals, nick names, state mottos, flowers, birds, trees, main rivers and when the state came into the union. Each page also shows where the state is in the U.S. This is a great way for young students to learn about the country where they live.

|A great project-based coloring book!,
For the geography teacher or student, “United States Coloring Book” is a great introduction to state study. Each page (or state) includes a border map showing the state capital and an insert which shows the state’s location in the United States.
Other features of each state’s coloring page are a listing of the capital (also marked on the map), flower, bird, tree (all included as items to be colored), and motto, main river, date and time admitted to the union, and any other tourist information.
This book can be used by the parent for reinforcement of things learned at school, as well as by teachers for introductory or culminating project work. Recommended.
