it’s kind of ironic that Blackout was hands-down her best album when you consider that she wasn’t really “there” for most of that time.
it’s very generic and most of the songs are very simplistic, but somehow that’s its appeal and there’s something there which isn’t on all her other equally generic albums – something that makes this one special.
but that’s just my opinion and I was never a fan.
