The issue I have with the “cheaper” converters is that they tend to burn out quickly, and I worry about burning up my camera charger and other sensitive electronics when I travel. So, I purchased this voltage converter. Worked VERY well, no issues, runs cool, laptop / camera / iPod / iPhone chargers all worked well when mated to this converter. The Unit is heavy so you’ll want to consider that, but some extra weight versus burning up my electronics was an easy decision to make. Nice!

Great converter but on the heavy side, September 25, 2010

I am currently in England, and this converter works great with all of my American electronics including my laptop. The only issue I have with it is that the converter’s a bit heavy to carry around. You are almost forced to leave it stationary because of how much it weighs. Other than that, it’s a great buy.
