‘Fright Night’ 3D movie is tacky and hilarious
Peter Travers loves Colin Farrell in Fright Night, a remake of a 1985 horror movie that rises above the glut of terrible horror movies hitting theaters in the dog days of summer. Farrell plays a vampire named Jerry in a way that is both hilarious and genuinely scary, and the tacky, over-the-top 3D is a welcome treat in a time when filmmakers try to be “subtle” in their use of the technology. It’s not a great movie by any stretch, but it’s definitely fun.
how can you not mention David Tennant in this review? wtf
i loved fright night! i thought colin did such a good job. i thought it was a decent remake.
not sure on if i should see it in 3D or not… i like 3D to be really O.T.T. so maybe this would be a good choice…

…I love Colin Farrell….and Jerry Dandridge, the character in and of it’s self is amazing, and wonderful, and I think Colin Farrell did a great job. I’ve eaten an apple everyday since sunday just because of this movie, Love you guys
Jerry Dandridge was the vampire’s name in the original and the there was also the couple having some problems, did this guy ever watch the original??
I loved this film! And I saw it in 3D, and really enjoyed the special effects.

Not a single clip with David Tennant. The whole Peter Vincent thing is what makes this movie.
ive seen this film yes its not out yet but ive seen it on copy . i wanted to hate this so much because i was a kid when the 85 one came out loved it. for a remake this up there slight change of things in this one but its not meant to be no friday 13th and its just has good then the original for me 5/5
I liked Fright Night, but not that much. Sorry. There were other movies this summer that were better.
Did This Guy Forget That The Vampires Name In The Original Was Named Jerry Also? He Sounds Confused, lol I Do Hope This Film Is As Good As The Original! =)
You ignored David Tennant, and he was brilliant in this movie. Without him, Charley’s story would have been really boring, and it was Tennant’s acting that saved several scenes.
I think this is going to be a good movie just because colin farrell is sexy
i like that Colin Farrell played a scary vampire.
don’t get me wrong, I love True Blood, where you have vamps that are scary but also lovable.
BUT at the same time Vampires are not here to be romantic interests! THEY ARE SCARY BLOOD SUCKERS!!!!
that’s why i liked Fright Night, because it gave a realistic portrayal of how people would react to a vampire.
I hate 3d, it’s a waste of time / money / attention span. But I loved this movie. Aint that a bitch.
