There were a wholesome looking family and it devasted them when the family fell apart, due to the pain caused. I have seen some families who have endured a hell of a lot more… and still stayed. But each is different. So be it. The attempt was cool. Nobody got hurt. Nothing’s wrong with taking a walk down memory lane. The girls were a bit insensitive towards Trina in Mary Land, unfortunately. A love offering would’ve been brighter, more supportive. Trina’s a tough chick, foxy and smart.
I enjoyed tonight’s show. It makes you see your own problems in a much different light, just as when you look at one of the daytime soaps. It’s interesting how they hold that against their father, and the mother also holds that against her ex husband, the fact that he messed around. I know of many preachers that do that… and many men with high positions. Not saying it’s right, but it doesn’t have to be “entertained” as much by a virtuous woman. It’s hard, but we know preachers’ human.
The show is getting better each week. As for the outlined-somewhat-of-a-script that they work from, it is made clear that we don’t always communicate with one another in the most effective or beneficial way. That mother and that father just cannot seem to “talk” to each other, because there’s just too much pain, too much emotion. But it’s good that they made the effort; I’m sure that the father thinks of the girls more than they will ever know. It hurts, I’m sure… for all of them.

Love the show! I love all of the ladies! They all have their own personality. Tamar just needs to tone it down some. But I’m already ready for season 2!
