The thing I don’t get is how many people didn’t “get” the film. It was comedic brilliance! People don’t think comedy is funny unless they get beat over the head with it. Sandy’s comedy needs your brain to function in order to get it.

@deir712 No, it isn’t a joke. It isn’t funny, at least. The reason for these ridicules awards are to recognize the worst in film. Nothing else. Her award was WORST ACTRESS – that gives us a hint that the award meant that she was a bad actress, which, of course, she wasn’t. The movie just wasn’t good.

Sandra Bullock doesn’t deserve that award. Just because the FILM wasn’t good, those idiot voters said that SHE was a bad ACTRESS. SO ISN’T true. In fact, she won an Oscar the next day for “The Blind Side”. The Golden Raspberrys are for idiots. But I respect Bullock for accepting the award.

Anybody that is willing to come to an “awards” show where they basically make fun of you has to earn some amount of respect. She’s actually saying that she was doing the best she could for the crappy script that she was given, then she asked people to watch the movie seriously and handed out free DVDs. Finally, Bullock was asked to return her award less than a week later because they gave her the wrong one. She did, and that’s pretty classy if you ask me.

Sandra sounds defensive in this speech. Halle Berry’s was waaay funnier, at least she made fun of herself and the movie and admitted her faults.
