Gloria Gaynor “How High The Moon” Disco Tracks

Fantastic disco track from Gloria Gaynor. This track captures the essence of the disco era and has an instant upbeat feel to it.This track is one of my all time favourite Disco songs and is also one of my favorites by Gloria Gaynor herself. This is just one of a few disco tracks from a collection that i will be uploading soon for you all to hear.If you have any requests for Disco music and if i have it,i will do my best to upload it as soon as i can for you!. Enjoy. Naomi.
la reyna de la musica disco…
@mrapina Donna Sumer stayed far more famous than Gloria though. Donna still fills up arenas, Gloria lost her vocal ability. I love them both though.
In “Dancer from the Dance” by Andrew Holleran, he mentioned this song in a pivotal scene and I have been looking for this song to see what the scene is about.

Great.
Did you know the original was from !!! 1951 !!!!
by
Les Paul & Mary Ford, with the same title.
And if you listen to that version… you can hear the discosound of the 1950′s.
WOW this is great!!!
thanks for posting this remake. I Have been searching high and low for this. i hope to find Under My Skin also. Early disco tunes when Gloria Gaynor was the Queen of Disco (before Donna Summer showed up) . There were 2 queens of disco Gloria and Donna.
The original queen of disco who found the King of Christ.
Classic Disco Music. Beautiful.
Disco Ball 9 @ Trump Taj Mahal Casino Atlantic City NJ on Sat Oct 16, 2010. Live in concert GLORIA GAYNOR, Santa Esmeralda starring Leroy Gomez, Sister Sledge, Rob Parissi of Wild Cherry, The Trammps featuring Earl Young, Musique, Anita Ward, Rose Royce, Norma Jean Wright & Luci Martin formerly of Chic, original performance group LIME, Sugar Hill Gang, Peaches & Herb, Linda Clifford, WCBS FM DJ Joe Causi & Smokin Joe Frazier.
This song was first recorded by Benny Goodman back in 1940 for the musical “Two for the Show”, and then later became a #1 hit for Les Paul & Mary Ford in 1951, and so Gloria Gaynor took over and had a disco remake of “How High the Moon” when it was a disco hit in 1976. This was after “Never Can Say Goodbye”.

For better or worse, it feels similar to the 1951 Les Paul/Mary Ford version … with “modern” beetz, of course, ha, ha!
