@soniakiwi If more people spoke with Bostonian/New England accents down in MIA I’d like it a whole lot better living here.
My New England accent became a cross to bear when I relocated to the Pacific NW and people gave me a hard time for it. I was a teen when I moved there and went along. It was such a struggle to speak sometimes because I felt like I was trying too hard to sound West Coast though I’m from LA. Go figure. My throat would sometimes clam up and do weird things. I’m in MIA and decided to let my inner East Coast out cause there’s so many NYers so WTH. I feel better for it.

Very rarely do you hear an actor do an accent without exaggerating it so much that it hurts your ears. This is not one of those times.

It’s wicked hard to switch from not having one to jumping into the Boston accent.
I’ve lived just south of Boston my entire life and I’m one of the few people who have broken the cycle. I don’t speak with the Boston accent at all. However, get a few drinks in me and all of it comes rushing back.
