Chris Isaak performing Blue Spanish Sky
A 1991 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno substituting for Johnny Carson. Doc Severinsen is featured on trumpet. From the album Heart Shaped World. You can see the look of awe that Chris and Silvertone have for Doc as they finish playing. One of my favorite songs.
this is so amazing you can see it because there are NO bad votes which is so uncommon on youtube videos. there´s always someone that for some stupid reason comes to see a video that they don´t like so they can vote it as bad
Genial
WoW Thank you so much for posting this up…I had never seem before!
Jimmy
Потрясающая музыка, особенно когда недавно из Испании! Все верно – и огромное голубое небо Испании это не преувеличение!
Doc utterly nailed this song. Amazing.
Anyone know who the other guest on the show was?
Perfection.
thank you for posting you did a favor for thousands
My favourite Chris Isaac song. Amazing.
I have ALWAYS loved this song…
It’s almost like a paralytic listening to this song–how the memories wash over you–a moment in time, etched and frozen; alive.
(& Doc–whoa!)
Love this song and the trumpet solo is amazing jus gives it so much. Cheers for posting!!!
@ivarela um…okay…this is the part where i slowly back away.
Love this and Cowboys and Angles by George Michael.
Its amazing how people like Chris Issak, Madonna, George Michael do more jazzy songs, really brings out thier talent
Doc just nails it!
Parfois dans cette vidéo, il a des airs à Robert Conrad ! Quel charmeur !!!
wow i love this song!!!
This is my favorite song Chris does after Wicked Game
the song is called “blue spanish sky” and it’s on the soundtrack of David Lynch’s film “wild at heart” starring Nickolas Cage and Lora Dern
They changed it up for this live version. But on the album, the last four notes played by the horn are a nod to a famous jazz / lounge song – I think it might even have been a movie theme. I’m drawing a blank. Anyone know the title of that song?
Check out Ritchie Nevada
It looks like the guy taking his guitar caught his attention.
lol Chris didn’t thank the last musician 4:42 ..poor guy looked a bit disappointed
nice!
Chris was just a badass ahead of and behind his time if that makes sense.
I don’t like the synth in the live version but this song is incredible.
@twilightandmist thats pretty hot!!
