We accept cases if DNA testing could potentially prove innocence, so we don’t make a judgement about guilt or innocence before sending a case to testing. Of those that make it to testing, 43% prove innocence, 42% confirms the prosecution theory and 15% are inconclusive.
Is there ever a case where an IP client turns out to be guilty, like Roger Keith Coleman? He convinced a lot of people, including Centurion Ministries, a precursor of innocence projects, of his innocence in the murder of his sister in law, but DNA testing showed ultimately showed he did it.

My husband, Steven Peace is is prison – He has been there for almost 7 years. I have been working on overturning his trial since the day of his conviction. It’s hard, it’s expensive, and it takes a lot of faith. Unfortunately there is no DNA evidence , only statements from criminals and obvious manufactured forensic evidence. the crime was murder. It was a cold case more than 20 years old.
