The Bee Gees are not only fantastic singers and musicians, they are also talented and prolific songwriters. They not only wrote their own song, they wrote songs for many others. One of the best Bands of all time.
I swear @1:24 sounds like Frankie Valli. Barry Gibbs is an awesome song writer and a singer. And I am his fan. But I like Frankie’s voice on this one and “Can’t take my eyes off of you.” Sure, Frankie did not write this song. But I think he owns it.
Happy Birthday Barry Gibb! Today is your day! I wish you all the best!!! Im waiting for your comeback with Robin and I hope you come to germany. <3 <3 <3
There was Olivia Newton-John with her daughter watching the performance and she tried to cover her daughter eyes, when a scene was showing her kissing John Travolta. Very Nice Song and I had a very good time back there.
i have just been reading some of the comments below regarding who wrote the song ‘grease’. i confirm that the only song ever to make a bee gees album and not written by a bee gee themselves was ‘ Such A Shame’ by ‘Vince Melouney’. barry gibb wrote this song for frankie valli to perfrom and it was yet another number one hit.
it’s cool to hear barry not go falsetto for once. this is a great take on frankie vallie’s song. not sure who’s version i’d like to see in the film – their’s or his
I just noticed that you can hear Barry on Frankie’s “Grease” – he does the high “got a GROOVE, got a MEANIN’!” Now that I think of it, I wonder why the Bee Gees didn’t do a track for “Grease 2″. (The Four Tops did instead.) They did the SNF sequel, after all.
Back then O n-Y still looked like herself. Ten years later she doesnt. So sad.
I love this sond and I love how they mixed in Frankie. Well done and great performance.
eu gosto muito dessa musica ! e também gosto da hora que ele cai na areia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why’s barry not on the mic at one point even though he’s singing?
Oh, I love the way how Barry sing this song!
@UzumakiJustice I think Barry consedes that point by handing the second verse to
Frankie…But I love Barry’s passion when he sings this
Bee Gees fenomenos dos anos 70 e 80

That was great. I think Frankie would be proud…or maybe even jealous. Neat to see Livvy there as well.

@crusader32555 Barry Gibb wrote this song not Frankie Vali. Frankie sang it on the soundtrack but he did NOT write the song.
