@onlyhero21 So new generations can never be the best for you : they will always have to sing Whitney’s, Celine’s, and Beyonce’s songs and you’ll consider them as copycat. Don’t forget the world doesn’t stop turning now. We all continue. Personally, I love both Whitney and Charice. Whitney is(was?) the best at emotion and Charice is the best at voice.

For all of you who continuosly like to put Charice and others up against WH please think about this. How good are they if they have to live off of WH accomplishments in order to get recognition? If they truely have what it takes then let their talent build them up and not at somebody’s elese expense. WH is WH and there will never be another exactly like her. Whitney is Whitney and nobody can replace her….a legend will always be a legend…. with regards to charice, she is still young and there will always be chance for her voice to crack down espcially if she’s not gonna takecare of it considering that when she sings, she’s just trying to make her voice big and doesn’t really sounds natural….

Mariah Carey cannot sing like this. I think it would be very difficult for her. I watched mariah’s performance at 1991 grammy on youtube and this video. Hands down to Whitney Houston!!!!

Streisand is well older than Houston and can still belt them out. If a voice is treated well, it lasts for a hell of a lot longer than Whitney’s 7 years at the top.

Kids? I am 37 years of age. I was around and aware of Whitney from the very beginning. If you are naive enough to believe that her voice was already shot before the drugs then poor you. She has not been belting out ballads for 20 years either as into the 90′s, she was already missing the high notes. I know as I was at her Manchester show when her voice cracked at the end of IWALY.
