Decades ago, a friend of mine took Sciloontology’s COMMUNICATION course. At that time, they got newbies right into the brainwashing training routines. (TRs) He got a chance to ask about other courses and seeing the sharply escalating fees clued him in that it was a Ponzi scam. He thought his teacher was zombie-like.
I asked him if he had seen this video, would he have tried it and he said “no way!”
Reading about Xenu and this Cruise video inoculate thousands from ever considering it.
HAHAHAHA !!! what a fuckin loon !!!
@vaLLarrr Jeepers, vaL, looks like a lot more people are learning the horrible truth about Scientology. Looks like you’re going to need a bigger list of cut-and-paste responses before the month is out.
Scientology is a cult for whack jobs. If this video isn’t enough proof of that then maybe YOU should join.
@vaLLarrr
And that’s why I called it a untested farce of a nonsense claim.
If it was a claim it would be a nonsense one, but as it isn’t it is just a untested farce of one.
Here’s some more late-breaking news-
“SCIENTOLOGIST COVERED UP SEXUAL ABUSE” — news(.)com(.)au
This is the self-proclaimed “most ethical organization on the planet”? Disgusting.
@Harizl
oh you mean YOU CLAIM is lambasted for that?
and like I DON’T blather my opinions unless someone specifically ASKS for it?
and good thing the word “can” which only raises the POSSIBILITY is not a “claim” at ALL.
@vaLLarrr
Why would you expect us to believe you are interested in facts and logic when any organization which uses those outside of your own is lambasted when anyone brings them up? Whereas any mention of your own is summarily ignored as unimportant.
In the real world outside, we use facts and logic to judge what sounds like a crock, and the CoS spouting “can raise IQ” is a openly untested farce of a nonsense claim.
@Harizl
oh, I’m not interested in ANYONE’S opinion.
especially YOUR opinion as to what is “undeniably definitive,” or who you claim to know is a “Nazi sympathizer.”
only FACTS and LOGIC.
@vaLLarrr
I’m well aware of what an opinion is.
I’m actually now wondering what opinions outside of your undeniably definitively described pseudoscience you would be interested in.
Clearly not any of the scientific community, who we now know are Nazi sympathizers rendering all their opinions invalid…
Scientology is nothing more than a science fiction story. compare to other cults like Heavens Gate or Christian Science and there are such strong gnosticism in this CULT that it is unbelievable that any sane person would believe this. Xenu? intergalactic evil emperor? signing a contract for a billion years to the church (what a business deal)? contradicting the fact that they do believe in reincarnation when they say “We Come Back.” Fools. and its too bad that people actually believe this.
@Harizl
oh but I have. and nothing you have said contradicts the fact that these “identifiers” of “pseudoscience” are very much IN DISPUTE by scientists THEMSELVES, and I’m not really interested in your OPINION.
opinion |əˈpinyən|
noun
a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge :
@Harizl
sadly, you will never realize this apparently.
@Harizl
oh but I have.
good thing none of what you just posted contradicts what I just posted.
“”The boundary lines between the science and pseudoscience are DISPUTED and difficult to determine analytically…”
and just because something “looks like” something to YOU doesn’t make it true, and is no argument at ALL.
# vaLLarrr
Your should read the rest of that page:
# 2 Identifying pseudoscience
* 2.1 Use of vague, exaggerated or untestable claims
* 2.2 Over-reliance on confirmation rather than refutation
* 2.3 Lack of openness to testing by other experts
* 2.4 Absence of progress
* 2.5 Personalization of issues
* 2.6 Use of misleading language
Looks like Scientology exactly fits all 6 categories of Pseudoscience as you define it. Sadly you will never realize this.
@Harizl
oh I disagree that “every other variably accurate science takes to be taken seriously,” since the the methodology is hopelessly biased.
“The boundary lines between the science and pseudoscience are disputed and difficult to determine analytically, even after more than a century of dialogue among philosophers of science and scientists in varied fields, and despite some basic agreements on the fundaments of scientific methodology.[18][57] “
@vaLLarrr
I’m well aware you are satisfied with the validity of the studies, I never questioned that. I just wonder why a modern science cannot take the proper steps which every other variably accurate science takes to be taken seriously.
The scientific process I am speaking of is fairly standard and is used by many if not all scientific fields. I’m not talking about scientific thought or philosophy, just the systematic process we have created as a community to weed out non-sence.
“An argument is assumed to be true merely because it says that it is true.” — That’s exactly how Scientologists are trained to operate and sell their product!
Just like the bullshit CLAIM that Scientology can raise one’s IQ.
claim |klām|
state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof !
taxthecult(.)com
@Harizl
let me get this straight.
Hubbard should have submitted those studies to the same “scientific community” that awarded the NOBEL PRIZE in MEDICINE to the “inventor” of the LOBOTOMY, and that claims that “ADHD” et al are “real diagnoses” and that still allows electric shock “therapy,” etc etc?
no thanks.
@Harizl
gee, if they’re willing to go on record and say that they grew wings, then good for them.
maybe they did, who knows?
so??
and I’m not interested in what YOUR OPINION of what YOU claim the “scientific process” is, since that has been in dispute for many many years by philosophers of science themselves.
@Harizl
oh, I’m perfectly satisfied with the studies that Hubbard did, since I know for a FACT that Scientology works great right now.
you want to do studies?
knock yourself out, what’s the problem?
@vaLLarrr
“and Hubbard conducted his OWN empirical studies.”
And where would those be Val? Have you submitted them for independent testing? Of course not. They’re all pure quackery.
@Harizl
56 years and you can’t get the statistics or studies done?
56 years? I could do a double-blind study in 6 months, tops.
And I’m just a public citizen, I’m not even basing my immortality on the tech, I have nothing riding on it to make me concerned if it was true. lol.
@vaLLarrr
I’m well aware that Hubbard did studies.
It has been 24 years since his death, and neither those studies nor new ones have been brought into the public eye as being unbiased nor empirical.
I can go out into the street and find 20 people whom will say on the record that Dianetics grew them wings and let them fly. Want me to make a video?
It doesn’t mean a thing unless there is proof enough to have published studies about it. That is the entire point of the scientific process.
@all
vaLLarr or any other scientologist cant have a high IQ when they talk like Hitler himself quote : lets clean up this place.
you guys are dismissed, you have a mental problem, you have complexes with yourself and you have no clue about what you are talking. You are unable to have a normal conversation with someone because u have no communication skills. accept it, learn it and get over it and make something out of ur life
