Thank God Im A Country Boy (John Denver) by West&Coast Band
“Thank God I’m a Country Boy” is a song written by John Martin Sommers and recorded by singer/songwriter John Denver. The song was originally included on Denver’s 1974 album Back Home Again. A version recorded live at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles was included on his 1975 album An Evening With John Denver. The live version was released as a single and went to No. 1 on both the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles and Billboard Hot 100 charts. The song topped both charts for one week each, first the country chart (on May 31), and the Hot 100 chart a week later. “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” was one of six songs released in 1975 that topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Hot Country Singles charts. Denver’s two-sided hit “I’m Sorry”/”Calypso” also enjoyed that distinction. This cover has been performed live by West&Coast Band last year in Ancona (Italy)

I think John Denver would be smiling listening to this.

I also need to say “Thank God I’m a Country girl”. And very happy to be one. I love the pace.
I love it, however, I have to admit my all time remake is Pauly Shore’s version in Son In Law. hehe

Great to hear the ‘baby’ and I share a 30 year birthday…. lol
I’ve got a Black Les Paul copy – but it only cost me a bottle of Whiskey – and even then the guy through in a small amp.
Would love a Deluxe though.

Hey Sonya… the dude doesn’t know… but I think he barely knows to be in this world… as he seamed to me a great drinker… but I could be wrong… dunno…
About the “baby” it’s a wonderful Gibson Les Paul Deluxe born in 1978 in Nashville… I found it in Ecuador about 2 years ago and falled in love…

Massy
I really, REALLY liked that! Loved the dancing dude..I wonder if he now knows he’s on the world wide web lol
Massy, Is that a Les Paul Deluxe? sounds real good whatever it is but I looks like it has the mini-humbuckers.
