I love it that some fat nerd who lives in his mother’s basement feels compelled to pass judgement on the attractiveness of the models in this video. That’s rich.
@harleykman Excuse me, but I don’t know what planet your on. Most of these models look just as fantastic today, in 2010 as they did when this was made. Cindy Crawford, Naomi, Tyra Banks, and on and on and on. Open your eyes.
@cmccarthy And 20 years later, none of these models look as good
.
They aren’t ugly of course, but they do have spotty skin instead of clear. Wrinkles on their faces. One is round like a ball, and so on. “Beauty fades.”
Corrythew is absolutely correct! This is about George telling the record company to screw itself for forcing him to portray an image that was not really himself, and this is shown by the burning jacket, the exploding juke box, and the exploding guitar. It’s also about his wish to be free to let the world know he’s gay. He had everything in the world but still was unhappy.
This is a brilliant video, as far as content and what it means, this is one of the greatest videos there has ever been.
the guy has his issues…drugs, record labels…etc etc…public restrooms. but you know what, the guy wrote a hell of lot of good songs that are just as good now as they were twenty yrs ago. I respect the artist.
this song has nothing to do with the models..there just eye candy for us guys. the song is about his wish to be himself. He has looks money and celebrity, but he wishes he could be openly gay …just listen to the words
@3DSpirit Freedom means freedom to do what you want without hurting others. It is not the models fault that they are attractive. It is my neighboor’s fault that he can a mile faster than me. It is not my bosses fault that he drives a Mercedes and I drive a Honda. Things will never be equal. Some will always have things better than others. Women just have to have the confidence to areas of appeal where they can succeed and stop blaming others.
@BRYAN351 he did it to show that hes trying to get away from his faith image..u will c that his faith jacket and guitar also get destroyed here..hes basically saying that u should stop looking at that produced image and listen to my real sound, which is also y only his voice was featured here. he said those things many times himself in diff interviews
Great song, love it and…how interesting is it that the song is playing about freedom while portraying images of women that show an impossible standard of beauty for most of us to reach. This puts women in a mental prison that takes years and years to undo. Your freedom is our prison!

@64racer Amen to that, brother. Amen to that. This song remains one of my favorite songs of all time.

Its not the model its the designer. Its what they are looking for.
Yeah, so I like the song, and the chicks are hot and all, but they didn’t have to go and blow up a perfectly good jukebox. That’s just wrong.
