Yes, Affleck so clearly doesn’t have what it takes for this. Baldwin in Glengarry yes. Tom Cruise in Magnolia yes. Ned Beatty in Network yes– and Lumet was smart enough to drop someone else when he couldn’t cut it to bring in Beatty. Casting is so important…

Well I work in sales. And it is rather interesting that you are being so judgemental.
If you think being an “asshole” is a requirement you did not really work in sales.
Personally I just think you washed out. To claim that you lack morals and ethics if you work in sales is just ignorant.
Remember the money we generate help fund government institutions where people who cannot cut it in the real world can hide out.
Did you think Affleck was good because of Damon? That does not make sense!
And to think I used to think that Ben Affleck was a good actor because Matt Damon was. He was not very good in this to me. I would say his most convincing performance was Dazed and Confused.

I have a social work degree as well and even i know that statement is irresponsible. Just because you couldn’t stomach selling things to people doesn’t mean you have morals and sales people don’t. It just makes you a pussy. But I do respect the work you do. Just don’t go judging people on what they do because your conscience tells you something different than someone else. Good luck with that Master’s.
Do you want a fucking star or something? I don’t give a fuck if you have morality issues of selling products to people. Some stocks actually go up and people make a shitload of money. Stockbroking can be a very fulfilling industry to work in, as well as financially rewarding.
@KneedeepUranium Infact this is far more realistc than GGR, this depicts virtually every stock or real-estate sales manager I’ve met coming from the perspective of a junior broker myself.
